QUestions & Answers

ARE CHILDREN INVITED?

Our wedding and weekend events will be an adults only event unless formally invited. We kindly ask that you refer to the wording on the envelope of your invitation. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate all our guests children. We do know that Islamorada is a great place for families, so we do not want to discourage bringing your children if you are able to arrange child care while here during weekend events. Thank you for understanding.

CAN I BRING A DATE?

We kindly ask that you refer to the wording on the envelope of your invitation.

Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate any additional guests. Thank you for understanding.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE WEDDING?

The dress code for the wedding will be Beach Formal Attire. Please see the Dress Code tab of this website for more information.

HOW DO I GET TO ISLAMORADA?

Please refer to the Travel tab of this website for details on getting to the island.

HOW DO I GET TO THE WEDDING Ceremony & Reception?

Guests staying at the Cheeca will be able to walk or transported via golf cart to the ceremony at The Castitas. A trolley will be provided to transport guests from the ceremony to the cocktail hour and reception at Pierre’s which is just across the street.

Ample free parking is available at both the Cheeca and Pierre’s for all wedding guests.

We will update transportation to the ceremony for guests staying elsewhere closer to the date.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

In early May, Islamorada is typically 83°F during the day and 75°F at night. April to late May is considered the best time to visit Islamorada because the weather is less stormy and there are fewer tourists.

We are so excited for you to experience our favorite place at such an amazing time.

We recommend binging the show Bloodline on Netflix before the weekend comes to give you an idea of the Islamorada vibe. The Moorings Hotel, better known as the Rayburn House, sits right in the middle of where all wedding events will be taking place.
