our favorite spots

  • Village Square

We go to Village Square all the time. Cafe Moka for coffee or Bad Boy Burrito for lunch. There’s shopping too!

  • The Trading Post

Our Islamorada bodega! A 24/7 deli and grocery store in the center of town, right across from the Cheeca. Stock up on snacks for the weekend here.

  • Florida Keys Brewing Company

Microbrewery located in the Arts District with colorful outdoor seating and live music. We spend a lot of time here and will during our wedding weekend too :)

  • Tacos Jalisco 2

If you do anything during your visit, stop here for tacos, a quesadilla.. Everything is amazing. Take it to go or enjoy it in the Brewery’s beer garden.

  • The Lorelei

Another Islamorada staple. Bayfront restaurant and cabana bar offering live music & amazing sunset views. Happy hour here is the best.

  • Midway Cafe

One of our favorite cafes and a go to for breakfast or lunch. Take a bike ride there from the Cheeca and check it out.

  • Morada Bay

Caribbean-style American restaurant with seating right on the beach. The sunset won’t dissapoint and neither will the watermelon salad.

  • Mangrove Mike's Cafe

An informal breakfast & lunch only diner menu so what isn’t to love?

  • Square Grouper

Eclectic island dining in a polished atmosphere. Their Sunset Lounge is a rooftop cocktail bar overlooking the marina.

  • Kaiyo Grill & Sushi

Florida-infused Asian cuisine that feels more like a cozy café than a sushi restaurant. This one is super walkable from the Cheeca and you can’t miss that neon sign.

  • Safari Lounge

Landmark that was damaged by Hurricane but recently reopened! Oceanfront dining, fresh seafood and a great bar for sports games.

  • Papa Joe's Waterfront

One of the newer Islamorada spots at mile marker 79.8. The space is amazing whether you want to sit down for dinner or to have drinks at the Tiki Bar- and of course, enjoy the sunset.

  • Lazy Days

Laid back oceanfront restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Downstairs and bar are more casual while the upstairs dining is more sit down dinner oriented.

  • Chef Michael's

Another walkable option from the Cheeca. Great wine list, fun vibe and delicious food. A local favorite.

  • The Whistle Stop

The definition of a dive bar with pool tables, TVs and wood oven pizza. Open till 3AM.
